Happy 4th of July! I hope you’re doing something fun with friends and family this weekend.
Now, picking up from last week…
After Dubrovnik, we arrived by car and boat to Hvar, a dreamy, salt-air island with red-tile roofs, lavender fields, and a walled fortress. Our hotel, a historic landmark dating back to the 13th century, overlooked the pretty, cobblestone town square.
Looking back at photos, I’m kicking myself for not taking more of Hvar! I’m not quite doing it justice here… because it was really amazing. A total summer escape. The “St. Tropez” of Croatia, as they say. So I will add a few iPhone photos here just for a little extra color. :)
From there, we ended the Croatia-leg of our trip in Split. We spent plenty of time gathering last-minute souvenirs, wandering the underground of Diocletian’s Palace, and catching sunsets from the harbor. Then it was off to Sweden—for next week!
